This course covers the development and implementation of Exposure Control Plans (ECP). Course topics include understanding the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, determining potential exposure and methods of control, developing an ECP, vaccinations, exposure incidents, training, and record keeping. 


WhO ShOuLd ATTENd Safety managers, industrial hygienists, human resource managers, healthcare providers, supervisors, and others with responsibilities as required by an employer’s Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan in industries where occupational exposure to blood or other body fluids occurs. In addition to healthcare, industries include: dental offices, laboratories, emergency services, fire departments, law enforcement, paramedics, care facilities, funeral homes, correctional facilities, tattoo and body piercing, lifeguards, childcare, maintenance, janitorial and custodial services with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and any workplace where employees handle discarded needles
